Affiliate Marketing Is A Business!!!!

Many people I've talked to over the few years I've been practicing affiliate marketing have got the impression that affiliate marketing is simply a money making opportunity that they will do every now and then to try and make some money, but I always say, that it's a business really and you should treat it like a business for it to work better for you.
First of all, I don't make a lot of money at affiliate marketing, but I make enough to scrape a part time income at it to know that a concentrated effort is way better than a half arsed effort. The ways to really be good or even exceptional at affiliate marketing is to really knuckle down and act professional and business like and be methodical when it comes to affiliate marketing, by covering all of your bases you will be in a better position to make money as an affiliate, simple as that!
Many of the top affiliate marketers have their sights set on multiple affiliate campaigns thatbring in one time affiliate commissions or a collection of one time, recurring and CPA commissions which do all add up to make a good chunk of change.
I remember seeing one top affiliate who showed you all of his computer dashboard with all the files of each promotion that he was doing and he had hundreds of different promotions going on at the same time and this made him a super affiliate, because he was spreading his efforts on many other niches too, which made him more money, but I bet that he spent a considerable amount of time setting these up and also he must outsource some of his promotion work by now.

Benefits of XML sitemaps to search-optimize Flash sites

Below is an example of a validated XML sitemap for a simple three page web site. Sitemaps are a useful tool for making sites built in Flash and other non-html languages searchable. Note that because the website's navigation is built with Flash (Adobe), the initial homepage of a site developed in this way would probably be found by an automated search program (ref: bot). However, the subsequent pages are unlikely to be found without an XML sitemap.
XML sitemap example:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

Twitter allows you to share a photo via text message

Microblogging platform Twitter has just announced a further enhancement that may encourage more Twitter members to start sharing photos on their pages.
From now, Twitter members can send photos to their Twitter accounts using just an SMS message, increasing the speed and simplicity with which they can get content from their smartphones and into their timeline.

In order to send any update to Twitter via SMS, users must first add their phone to their Twitter profile, so that it can associate your number with an account. Once this is verified, you are then given a long or short number that you can use to update your Twitter account. In many countries (including the US) this is a short-digit number. In others (including the UK) it is longer, and may incur an international call charge, but the principle remains the same.
The process by which users can send a photo is as simple as any other text update to their account. Simply type the message you want to tweet, add the photo and then send to your designated long or short-digit number. The photo and update will then appear as a new tweet in your timeline. (Refer to Twitter’s support pages to get a list of the countries that can currently support SMS messaging). Note also, that the service is only available on certain carries in those countries. In the US, SMS messaging to Twitter is only supported by AT & T, Verizon Wireless and Cellular South.
Twitter recently introduced its new photo galleries, which display thumbnails of the last 100 photos tweeted or retweeted on a user profile. The feature offers a visual enhancement to profile pages, and for less-prolific posters, can extend the longevity of the tweet, given that it will still be accessible on the profile page, long after the tweet has passed through the timeline. This new additional service further enhances that capability by simplifying the processfor users, encouraging a greater level of photos on the site.
The inclusion of photos within Tweets can increase a user’s following on the site, as members enjoy a variety of different forms of content. Photos can greatly personalize an account and can also be used by businesses for promotional purposes. As Stephanie Dickison points out over on Media Bistro, however, not all sorts of photo are suitable to appear on Twitter. Recent high profile incidents have led to negative press for some celebrities revealing a little too much in their Twitter photos. It is worth remembering, however, that if you do send a photo that you subsequently regret, all retweeted versions (and copies in photo galleries) will disappear if you delete the original tweet.

Create a bootable USB flash drive for the purpose of installing a Vista or Windows 7 OS

This will walk through the steps to create a bootable USB flash drive for the purpose of installing a Vista or Windows 7 OS.  These instructions assume that you have a computer with Windows Vista installed on it.

Required:
  • USB Flash Drive (4GB+)
  • Microsoft OS Disk (Vista / Windows 7)
  • A computer running Vista / Windows 7
Step 1: Format the DriveThe steps here are to use the command line to format the disk properly using the diskpart utility. [Be warned: this will erase everything on your drive. Be careful.]
  1. Plug in your USB Flash Drive
  2. Open a command prompt as administrator (Right click on Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt and select “Run as administrator”
  3. Find the drive number of your USB Drive by typing the following into the Command Prompt window:
    diskpart
    list disk
The number of your USB drive will listed. You’ll need this for the next step.  I’ll assume that the USB flash drive is disk 1.
  4. Format the drive by typing the next instructions into the same window. Replace the number “1” with the number of your disk below.
    select disk 1
    clean
    create partition primary
    select partition 1
    active
    format fs=NTFS
    assign
    exit
When that is done you’ll have a formatted USB flash drive ready to be made bootable.
Step 2: Make the Drive BootableNext we’ll use the bootsect utility that comes on the Vista or Windows 7 disk to make the flash drive bootable.  In the same command window that you were using in Step 1:
  1. Insert your Windows Vista / 7 DVD into your drive.
  2. Change directory to the DVD’s boot directory where bootsectlives:
    d:
    cd d:\boot
  3. Use bootsect to set the USB as a bootable NTFS drive prepared for a Vista/7 image. I’m assuming that your USB flash drive has been labeled disk G:\ by the computer:
    bootsect /nt60 g:
  4. You can now close the command prompt window, we’re done here.
Step 3: Copy the installation DVD to the USB driveThe easiest way is to use Windows explorer to copy all of the files on your DVD on to the formatted flash drive.  After you’ve copied all of the files the disk you are ready to go.
Step 4: Set your BIOS to boot from USBThis is where you’re on your own since every computer is different. Most BIOS’s allow you to hit a key at boot and select a boot option.
I used these instructions to get my new Dell Mini 9 laptop loaded with Windows 7 (the PDC bits).
